PIC controlled LED Tail Lights
These LEDs will run at full brightness all the way down to 4.5 volts. This setup will work on both 6 and 12 volt systems. The microcontroller is programmed to use all LEDs at all times, for maximum visibility. For example, brake with no flash uses both banks, brake with flash inverts the lower 8 LEDs, running lights dim all LEDs, etc.
The upper 12 LEDs are the beake and running light.
The lower 8 are brake, running light, and blinker.
Completed controller, working on the case now. This will have switches and lights for testing only, and will be placed in a wooden case to match the dash on the car.
Controller in a box with lefthand taillight. Buttons and lights are for testing purposes... and they'll add more silly control to the dashboard on the Hudson. The wood panel should go nicely with the car's wooden dash.
